 Fourth Wing Summary

The story revolves around Violet Sorrenjil, a fragile girl with a tissue disorder who lives in the fictional land of Navarre. Violet is twenty years old and wants to study writing, but her violent mother, the commander, forces her to nominate herself for the elite Dragon Riders, where she must fight to survive.

There are two kingdoms on this fictional land, and there has been a war between them for 400 years. Navarre is the large mountainous kingdom, and it houses the War College of Pasgayath, which is divided into four quadrants: Riders, Healers, Scribes, and Soldiers. Candidates are classified before the crucial day, which is on October 1st, and on this day, each dragon chooses the human rider they will bond with, and the stronger the bond, the stronger the outcome.

The second kingdom is the small kingdom of Poromiel, where griffins - creatures that are half eagle and half lion - reside, and they transfer power to the riders like dragons. They were created by strange humans to fight dragons. Candidates must pass the bridge to stay alive, but many die at this difficult stage.

The story begins with hostility between Violet and Xaden  Riorson, as Xaden wants revenge on her because her mother executed his rebel father. But that's not the only reason they become enemies, Xaden's father also caused the death of Violet's brother.

After several battles and events, both Xaden and Violet are forced to bond due to external circumstances, and their romance grows over time. However, Violet discovers that there are secrets and not everything she has been told is true.

A major attack occurs, and it is later revealed that Xaden was colluding with the Gryphon, which infuriates Violet, but he manages to appease her. In the final battle, Violet is stabbed and poisoned, leaving her unconscious for three days, and when she wakes up, she sees her brother Brennan welcoming her to the rebellion.
